Superstar K2 down to its final two contestants

On October 15th, Mnet’s Superstar K2 held its semi-final round on its fifth live broadcast. The top 3 contestants, Huh Gak, Jang Jae In, and John Park, battled it out to make it into the final round.
This week, the contestants’ songs were chosen by the viewers of the show. Also, for the first time, the contestants had to plan and design every aspect of their performance. Huh Gak opened the show revealing his inner rocker while singing his mission song, Lee Juk’s “Running in the Sky.” Next up was John Park with his rendition of Park Jin Young’s “The House You Live In.” Lastly, Jang Jae In delivered a sweet performance of Park Hye Kyung’s “Lemon Tree“.
This week marked the first week that Jang Jae In was knocked off her winning streak in the pre-show online votes. Unfortunately, Jang Jae In went on to be eliminated this week, leaving John Park and Huh Gak as the final two contestants for Superstar K2. Hopefully, Jang Jae In will continue to receive much love post-elimination like fellow Superstar K2 contestant, Kang Seung Yoon.

John Park and Huh Gak have been close friends since the beginning of Super Week. Stay tuned next week to see which of the two finalists will be crowned this season’s Superstar K.
