Appearing on his first-ever variety program, John Park managed to charm the audience with his jackpot gags on SBS’s “Strong Heart“. But things took an interesting turn for him when Tony An offered to sign the former “Superstar K2” contestant under his agency.
Tony An, CEO of Tn Entertainment, attempted to scout John Park by saying, “I actually found out about ‘Superstar K2′ through John Park. He reminds me a lot of myself in the way he sings and makes women’s hearts shake. I hope he becomes a singer that is much loved even 20, 30 years from now. I actually really covet him.”
John Park answered, “Of course, I should think about it sincerely, but Mnet told me not to talk about agencies.”
Unfazed, Tony An offered again, “I really have the confidence to turn John Park into a nationwide star, even bigger than Lee Seung Gi. I’ll turn you into an actor like Daniel Henney.”
MC Kang Ho Dong stepped in to support Tony by stating, “It is a sensitive time for you, and I understand the difficulty in answering, but what can you do when Tony An asks you so sincerely?”
John Park replied once more, “It’s definitely an honor, but I’ll really get in trouble!” causing the rest of the celebrities on-set to burst out into laughter while shouting, “John Park daebak!”
